"Winning makes you different, and different scares people"

Many like the ideology of investing in real estate, and even more enjoy talking about it - But how many people do you know who actually do it and do it successfully?

Are you willing to study the MLS on a daily basis? Are you willing to go walk open houses every single weekend? Do you consistently pull up rent comparisons in your area to have a good understanding of what the rental market is like for the properties you're interested in?

Just because someone buys a piece of property it does not make them an investor, the same way everyone who makes it to the NBA isn't Kobe Bryant. Winning means putting in the work, and most people simply aren't willing to. You can spot people who aren't willing to put in the work when you start to hear comments like... " the market is too hot to buy anything right now" or "I'm just going to wait it out till the market crashes." The truth is if you're built to win and are willing to do what it takes, then there will always be opportunities for you. This is what separates the winners from the people who are just too scared to do anything. They're not scared of the end result, because lets face it, everyone wants the end result. They're scared of the work that's going to be required of them in order to reach that end result.
